Yes, they were made in theatre but in quite an organised way. I’ve spent the last 9 months researching the smocks my grandfather is seen wearing in one of the earlier posts. In that research I’ve discovered how, where, when and by who all of these theatre made items were manufactured by. This includes all manner of other items from pow clothing to sniper smocks to handkerchiefs ! It’ll all be included in my coming title (book cover attached) which I’m hoping will be ready before the year is out.
