Default Ayrshire Yeomanry, Officers or S/NCO's, unusual

Hello all
I'd be interested please on people's thoughts on the attached badge.
I have been offered this badge, on first look I thought 'bingo' it's one of the bi metal Gaunt makers mark on slider badges I'm after, then I spotted the 'S', for silver plated, obviously the lions head.
This is most unusual, the rest appears to be gilding metal, not gilt, which you'd expect for an Officers badge, and also it's on a slider, I've seen a bi metal, as in WM and GM badge' with the same slider.
Hope someone can help to ID if this is an Officers pattern or S/NCO's please.
Many thanks for your time.
Chris
