8th Hussars Small Rank Badges
Can anyone shed light on the reason - if any other than regimental custom - why the officers of the 8th Hussars wore small cloth rank stars on their battle dress blouse?

Jon,
A regimental custom or affectation. Small 3/8 inch gilt rank stars were worn on Service Dress a practice carried through to the Queen’s Royal Hussars. Tim
