RCASC - Helmet flash with #42 - Rouen
Hello,
i ask help to identify this vehicle canadian unit signs. The flash are Royal Canadian Army Service Corps, with a dark green. I not find corrispondance with numer 42. Do you help me? I think 3rd canadian division, one RCASC brigade. Thanks!!! |

Hello,
For divisional troops 42 represented the senior field regiment RCA in the divisional artillery. Horizontally divided red over blue background. 42 was also a Corps RCASC marking on red/green background but too early for northwest Europe I think. The white bar going across the upper part of the sign suggests corps troops. Keith |

What can you tell us about the helmet details, ie maker, year? What are the markings on the liner?

Helmet is British MKII with MKI hooks, first type, marking 1939. Liner is MKI. Thanks
