Looking at the photographs Quicksilver has posted I think they were taken at the old Burniston Barracks in Scarborough, where 40 Sig Regt(V) held a number of their camps.
I believe I recognise a couple of the officers in the pictures and, if this is the case, will see if they can add to this debate. |

If you do manage to speak to any one, I would be most grateful for some dates. When did they stop (If they have) being a pipe band for the Regiment. 40th (U) Signal Regiment Volunteers
Dear All.
To all the Forum members who were kind enough to make the above Thread so succeddful when it first appeared in January 2010. I should just like to say a very big thank you for all the information that I received regarding Tartans, Badges, Pipe Band etc. I now have pleasure in advising any member who helped with this Thread and those who havew looked at it that I have now put the information gathered on my little web site in words and pictures. John A. Taylor was Pipe Major of the 40th (Ulster) Signal Regiment from 1995 to 1999. He wasprobably their only Pipe Major.
