Default Reproduction medals

I wonder if any of the other members could help me here?

My younger brother has just bought himself a lovely country cottage which, to be honest; given the state of his health, he should have bought years ago. I'd like to give him a keepsake for moving in. Something he's long expressed interest in is reproductions of our dad's WW2 service medals in a little frame.

I can find plenty of firms who do this online but they all seem to need well in excess of £100 to fulfil an order like this which I find expensive.

Does anybody know where I could have this task done a little cheaper but still maintain a reasonable quality?

Those would only cost you £50 for genuine ones.

Why do you want repros?

regards

Because I'm applying for replacement of the lost originals for myself and want a framed or display mounted set of copies for my brother.

Genuine medals available at what I consider to be a reasonable cost here:

http://jcollinsmedals.co.uk/replacem...iature-medals/

The last genuine Defence Medal I bought a couple of weeks ago cost me £5 at a local Antique Fair.

P.B.

Simpler to buy orriginal replacements unless medals were stolen and you have a crime number or lost in a fire they will not replace them for you.

Donot bother with repros they often cost more than the orriginal eBay is full of genuin WW 2 stars and medals

You just need to find a suitable frame

Regards

Stephen

The WW2 British medals you are after were issued unnamed, very rare for you to find privately named ones.

I have never seen British WW2 medals that were named.

Hi,
As far as i remember WW11 medals are not named anywhere on the medal so replacement with any correct originals found would be good ? You never know you might even pick up his originals and never know it

If required WW2 Medals and Stars could be engraved with the relevant details free of charge at any branch of Boots.
