99.9% sure it is the same one. Looking forward to seeing the comparison. (I do the same thing, but because the verdict was likely a fantasy piece, I must have not downloaded the images.)
Unfortunately, just with it being "offered" there is a good chance of it becoming accepted as an "authentic" piece.

Default Not the same.

Appears to me to be a different, but very similarly painted helmet.
See comparisons attached. the smaller inset is from the June 2009 eBay auction, the larger from the current auction. The two tone gold/yellow colours used for the kangaroo are similar as are the "styles" of drawing, but definitely different, the overall paint condition of this recent item if more rough. The positions of bothe the 1CACR insignia (front) and 79th Bullshead (wearer's left) are consistent.

Is it (are they both) genuine?? For me, without some hard evidence this was regimental item... doubtful. (especially with spelling mistakes "Lundit" on the 2009 helmet) But I wouldn't rule out "trench-art"/souvenir either by a veteran or a grateful dutch friend. This seller, as well as the previous have no known provenance linking to the regiment. Both helmets apparently come from the maritimes.

Thanks Bill. Great to keep the image record. Like you I am very skeptical of these. Unfortunately, their existence is going to lead to issues in the future.
Something struck me when I was looking at the listing again. It is unfortunate that the maker stamp isn't visible. That would certainly add important information.

Thanks Bill for posting comparison photographs of the two helmets. It's greatly appreciated.
