Default RAAF KC Pilot Wing

Picked up this RAAF KC Pilot Wing at an antique market. I'm undecided if I'll remove it from the bag/purse.

Up to you , but personally I would leave as it was given as a gift and mounted as such during WW2.
regards
Steve

I don't know...the zipper is broken plus it's ugly. Detracts from the wings I think.

I'm with Steve. I'd be leaving it as is. To my way of thinking it is an interesting little piece in its own right......but to each his own.

I'd remove it. But then, it as a wing is what has meaning to me. Not as a piece of WW2 memorabilia.
So how do you view it? Pilot wings or WW2 memorabilia?

Looks like someone made it in a home economics class at school. I purchased it for the wings. It wasn't too long ago that wing collectors purchased uniforms just for the insignia. I think I may have it done too one or twice way back when.

Nice wing. Glad you removed it. Looks 100% better off that ugly purse.
