Printed 'CAMERONS' shoulder title
Hi,
Can someone help me identify this mysterious 'CAMERONS' shoulder title. I haven't seen one before, I think it's British? Any ideas on what uniform it's for and if it's worth anything? Thanks!!! Steve |

Not one I have listed.
Could it have a Canadian connection? Marc

The Cameron Highlanders of Ottawa M.G. served in Iceland and then in Northern Europe during WWII but none of the many variations on their shoulder title seem to match this example. First, they are drab or yellow rather than red letters and, second, all the ones I've turned up n a search include 'Highlanders' andas part of the WWII title.
There is some discussion of this in the Canadian badges section of this forum and variations seem to depend on whether or not 'M.G.' was present. In addition, printed titles were used by them, apparently, for a very short time and therefore are likely quite uncommon. Last edited by peter monahan; 26-07-19 at 11:02 AM. |

Not one I have come across before and not of the quality of the official printed titles made by the Calico Printers Association - which as a Highland regiment the Camerons never had as they wore tartan flashes instead.
A true mystery item. Jon |
