Default Victorian Black Watch

Officers glengarry and white helmet KK256.
Unmarked silver open backed star with the addition of a white metal oval positioned behind the gilt overlay to give a more 3D effect.

Lovely to see, keep up the good work.

Unmarked silver badge similar to previous one, solid back star scrolls attached by hollow rivets, lugs are silver. Gilt is sun bleached and polish wear to St. Andrew.

Hi Ron
Very nice indeed ! But I always thought these die-struck versions were Senior NCOs. Is this not correct ? Regards Jeff

Jeff, for this period 1881-1902. 1st Bn sncos would have 42nd centre, 2nd Bn would either be voided or no scrolls.
Ron.
