Default RNZAF PILOT.

Dear Forum,
Could these be original wartime Canadian made wings?
Thank you,
Dominique

Dominique, your wings look very new?
I would be interested to hear Kerry's (Wanganui) opinion?
I have posted a variation of a non padded Canadian made NZ wing in this thread-

Geoff Oldham (Militaria Memorabilia) has the following variation of a non padded Canadian made NZ wing-

Default BCATP WINGS.

Dominique, your wings look very new?
Thank you so much for the threads. I agree with you, if original, the wings in my post appear brand new.
Yet, they look much similar to the ones pictured P 133 in W.Carroll's book. I also highly value SAS 1's expertise;
At last, I must say that many BCATP badges on the market are "new old stock"...

Default Another one.

This padded version has been in my collection for some time.
Thoughts welcome...
Regards,
Dominique

The subject wing of this thread is a good original example of a Canadian made RNZAF wing

The wings that are the subject of the thread are made of rayon thread in white which doesn't seem to get as dirty. Plus, as noted, many BCATP items are original but unissued.

The wings being sold by Geoff Oldham are made of silk thread in an off-white oatmeal colour. They are also unissued but because of the colour and thread don't appear as fresh as the rayon ones.

Pleasure!

The second NZ wing you've shown is also a good one.
