Default 101st Edmonton Fusiliers

Hey All ,
New member here so i hope my pics turn out ok !
I have been searching for info on the large 101st badge pictured and have come up short. I saw a large fur hat badge with only the 101 on it.
Just wondering where this one fits in ? Thanks for your time !

Very nice badge. I will check some references and see what can be noted.

Thanks Bill ! I should note that I could not find a maker mark anywhere on the piece.

As Phil noted, this pattern badge is identified as an officer's bearskin cap badge. It was not authorized until 1919.

Officers bearskin cap badge ! Thanks guys , was a bugger to find any info on the net. I would think these are not common due to the lack of available info. Although I am not interested in selling this badge , I am curious of it's value. This was part of a good portion of my grandfathers cap badge collection I purchased from an uncle 30 yrs ago ! I am hoping to go through the collection this winter and post some more of these beauties.
Much appreciated !
Jim

Hello Jim, Valuations are extremely difficult on badges like the one you show. They are rare and if the right collector was contacted or sales venue was used the price could be quite high.
