Regina Rifles embroidered titles
Confirmation requested.
The Regina Rifles were constituted in 1924, and perpetuated the 95th Regiment and the 60th Rifles. The 46th Battalion CEF used the colours of these units as the basis for their CEF cloth embroidered title, which was green on red. The Regina Rifles Second World War title was green on red, similar to the 46th Bn. However, the 46 Bn is perpetuated by the South Sask Regt, and the Reg Rifles perpetuate the 28th Bn (and 68th, and 195th Bn). It appears the Reg Rif used the colours of the 46th Bn, or did they attribute the colours to their perpetuation of the 95th and 60th?

Bill,
Red and green seems to be a fairly common combination for Rifle regiments. I'm wondering if GW Hughes' three volume set, March Past has anything as he did include regimental colours (hues, not flags). Phil |

Hi Phil, I do not have access to that set.
