10th Gurkha Rifles Sealed Pattern
Im sure that most members know that the 10GR badge comes in two versions, hat and beret. The hat badge in anodised can be found in void and non void form, but both with sliders.
But the information on the standard pattern card held by the IWM states that the fixing is in the form of two lugs or loops, with a split pin. Does anybody have an example of the anodised badge with the lug fitting ? I dont recall ever seeing one. |

Hi Mike,
I would need to see the actual pattern card before I could make comment and not a hand entered description on a website. Regards Chris |

Hi Mike,
Just checked; the example given in Anodised Aluminium: The 'No Bull' Cap Badge of the British Army is acually a lugged badge which includes split pin. I also have an image of said pattern card with lugged badge so I have to assume that they are out there somewhere. Lugs look like they were made by Gaunt. Had a good look at the image Chris, ive noticed that the bell is non void, compared to the slidered version which is.Obviously except for the non voided example.
