hi everyone
does anyone know what the 40 badge is please? i assume RE unit as i was browsing through some books a few days ago and saw something similar! 49th Division clearly on the shoulder. Any help gratefully acknowledged! Last edited by Corkerrys; 11-10-20 at 01:34 PM. |

A Sapper with a white lanyard? Outrageous! Perhaps he made it up himself as a means of showing that he served in Iceland? One never knows what people added to their BD when in a photographer's studio!

I knew of someone who'd not served in NI but wore a CSM NI at his wedding.
Someone who knew I collected militaria once asked if I had a suitable sword to lend for wear by one of their relatives, a REME NCO at their wedding. |
