KC Ld Strathcona's badge in plastic?
Browsing ebay this afternoon and see this odd item. Never seen or heard of such an animal. KC Lord Strathcona's Horse Royal Canadians plastic cap badge
I'm assuming repro, but a lot of effort has gone into this badge, looks more than a cheap resin cast? (as well why repro such a common badge) Thoughts? Bill.

It looks like an anodised aluminium badge I have in my collection. When I acquired it I was informed that it was issued to members of the regimental band (circa 1953-1968). My informant, who had a long-standing association with the band, could not explain why it had a king's crown. However, it should be remembered that the Strathcona's were not issued with queen's crown badges until 1965.
