Default London Irish Badge?

Greetings,

I was told this might be a London Irish Badge, I seen other posts mentioning similar, could anyone confirm this for me. Thanks.

Regards,
Patrick

It may well be but their are similar ones with nine unvoided strings which I have seen attributed to the 16th Middlesex (London Irish Rifles) Rifle Volunteers. Their helmet plate centre has seven and the pouch badge has six.

It's a lovely little badge though, if I saw one I'd snap it up 'just in case.'
