Help please! 1958 -79 navy badges

Hi

Hope its ok to ask for some help please. My dad severed in the navy 1958-1979 as an engineer. Most of his service was on submarines.

His general service and long service medals were stolen along with badges he had from the pulsris subs etc. I would like to try and get replacements but not sure where to start looking.

This would be a surprise for his 80th birthday so any ideas on which I should be looking for would be gratefully recieved.

This is very sad - but I hope it works out.
It is well beyond my comfort zone but I found this on google about replacing medals through official channels - with a few requirements though:

The Covid crisis has - from my limited experience of seeking copy service records - slowed everything down. I am not sure how it has affected this service but worth giving it a go I think, particularly for an 80th Birthday commemoration. Good luck - Mike
