German items

Although I am not myself a fan of German badges, I have sometimes had to identify a few items for catalogue purposes. These eagles, for example, are presumably army and air force versions - the Luftwaffe eagle being the one that is flying!

Hello Paul,

Here are some more items from the Oxfordshire & Buckinghamshire Light Infantry Museum - presumably war trophies. The WWI belt buckle is obvious enough, while I assume that the badge with the AA gun was worn by a Luftwaffe flak gunner. The cloth badge is more of a mystery.

It appears to be a Municipal Police arm badge for the city of Coesfeld.

I'm a bit worried about the indications of fire damage on the flak badge - one wonders what happened to the original wearer?

There is an organisation that has lineage to the TENO, but the title of the organisation is less reminiscent these days of it's past.

ACTUALLY the teno still operates as such the East Germans even kept the same main insignia and the west side still uses something similar but can't put my finger on it right now.

Not the TENO that was disolved in 1945, but a rose by another name that was insituted in 1950.

BMZ is a modern tangent and I was thinking external rather than internal per se (it was early in the morning over here) , and of course there's the THW:

Not a German item, but an Austro-Hungarian item - this other ranks belt has been "discovered" in the Oxfordshire & Buckinghamshire Light Infantry Museum. I imagine it is quite rare?
