Hi,

Just to clarify; when you say 'cockade', are you refering to the 'boss' at the top edge of the cap? If so an internet image search for Rifle Brigade boss badge (or similar terms) will throw up some examples. Hoping that's of some help!

I can't recall from my childhood model making days but possibly a cockade, a button on a flat black disc rather than a boss. I'll check what books I have that may say or illustrate the insignia.

Hi

It's what my dad calls it. I'm getting it drawn and the artist wants that part clearer. I'll have another search. Thanks for your reply

The monument appears to show a boss type device, illustrations in a few books show a leather or fabric touched, flat cockade with a central "button".
