One for the French medal collectors?
Hi
Am wondering of someone can help with details of the recipient of this award. Yes, I know what both of them are but I would love to know more about the man. I suspect that he is possibly an American as the name turns up a lot on Ancestry. Collectionneurs de la France! Aidez-moi, s.v.p.! |

Hi Leigh
Many thanks and you could be right but I think that it is: "A Mr." or "A Monsieur". The spelling of "Henry" is not, as far as I am aware, the normal French spelling of "Henri" but one of our nice French members might like to give an opinion. Allez les gars! Nous vous attendons! On compte sur vous... |

You are correct. Here it is written “A Mr” which translates as “To mister” .... First name is “Henry” rarest than Henri, but I had a f.f. sailor friend who’s first name was the same with ending Y. Family name is “Santin”. Cheers, JD |
