Default Mediterranean Adversaries

whilst rummaging for beret stuff I acquainted myself with a couple of old friends from days gone by. although this is "The British & Commonwealth Military Badge Forum " I have included zer German because of their wartime link. a thousand pities that more attention should have been taken regarding names !

Very nice items as ever - the LRDG badge looks to have been housed on that cap for decades ...

Yes, nice caps, both beyond my means -is the image of the German cap "reversed", eagle flying the wrong way?

they would have not been beyond your means forty odd years ago ! the enemy hat was dearer than the British one, strange times then. a rambling story behind them. as far as I am aware all " uniform " eagles face to the right, the eagle decal on steel helmets faces the left.
