Default Opinions on RAF pilot wing

I picked up this British RAF pilot wing at a flea market in California today. It is padded and looks like it was taken off of a uniform. I don't know that much about pilot wings so I'm guessing this is a standard WW2 piece? This was an impulse buy at $40.00 (my first British pilot wing) as I walked about this flea market all day and this was the only militaria I came across. DSCF4559.jpg

It's a nice wing. Looks to be of north American manufacture. Good price too.

Thanks for the information so this pilot wing was made in Canada for the British military?

Yes, I'd say so. It seems to be made in rayon thread, which is shiney and thin, as opposed to thicker silk thread of the British, typical of Canadian and American manufacture.

A nice wing indeed, you can see the damage caused by rubbing of the pilot's harness.
