The next issue of
The Journal of the Military Heraldry Society is now at the printers.
It includes articles marking the anniversaries of the forming of the Local Defence Volunteers and VE Day, records the use of a pasteback Palestine title, solves the mystery of the Calico Printers pine tree badge and raises some questions about the wearing of the windmill sign of 18th Division. Plus the usual modern badge sightings. Copies should be in the post next week.
Some members of the Society have yet to pay their £17 subscription (£18 if paying by Paypal) and won't therefore receive this current issue. To check if you have paid email
