Hello Troops
Would anyone have a photo of the Duke of Cornwells collars for O/R worn in W/W/1? Many thanks.

The DCLI OR collars were unchanged until the regiments demise in 1959, so really there is no way to be sure if WW1 or 2.

One of my favorite collar badge designs.

Being slightly pedantic collars were not widely worn during WW1 as the practice was discontinued. They returning inter war but were generally not worn on BD during WW2 either.

Is that GM Alan? I've only ever seen those in WM for the 2nd VB.

The Victorian collars were a different pattern altogether the bugle with a castle and feathesr over the ribbons.

The badge pictured in post #8 is a full-sized cap / glengarry on 3 loops.

The shield design was replaced Terry,by a facing pair of smaller versions of the cap badge . I'd have to check in Gaylor for a date.
The OSD bugles were originally the same size as the cap badge. These were reduced in size to the small size that was worn until it finished . The TA Btn carried on after the regular Btn had amalgamated.
Just to add a bit more confusion ,in later years the Officers wore a small Cornwall Bugle badge in the cap and beret . Smaller than the ORs beret badge but bigger than the collar.

I had a w/m one of these but moved it on as I don't collect collars.

That’s what I presumed but as this is a thread about collars thought it best to ask.
