Now that I’ve looked at this badge several times, (as I too like it, and would have it in my collection) It’s now beginning to play on my “Anorak” nerves! It may just be a slight off angle photo, but it appears to me that the barrel of the piece is not in a straight line. Print the picture, draw a horizontal centreline at the cascabel, and one at the barrel, it will be seen that the barrel is lower horizontally than at the cascabel. I call upon our distinguished Gunner, Mark, (54Bty) to comment? D.J.

Can we have an image of the reverse please.
I have never seen an off set barrel before.

I have not come across a Cannon barrel like yours until now. It does look to be a good badge although badly done.
While looking for similar badges I found one that has the top centre of the barrel missing.
An Officers bronze with three single short blades, I will post images when taken. GAUNT plate. Needs a clean.
It never ends.

Marc

Boy! Did I open a can of worms! So many good but badly made badges coming to light. Thanks to Holyboy and Marc, (54Bty), for going the extra mile and showing more pics. Regards, David J.
