Reproduction 1 Can Para titles.
These titles in this auction appeared on the market a few years ago. They have made the rounds, and now are appearing with the wool material backing. (Similar to a recent auction of a CFPU title.) Note that NO CORRECT CANADIAN titles were manufactured with embroidered lettering on a canvas backing. There are some customized versions of titles where the soldier stitched the embroidery over the original issue titles.

This seller always has the rare expensive badges, on a monthly basis, he has a Canadian Photo Unit badge, FSSF badge, etc. All seem to be used and a little "grubby" as the seller describes.
The beach command badge would fool an uninformed buyer. Interesting that he takes the time to sew the flashes to BD material, I have bought from this seller and was taken when my knowedge of ebuy was limited years ago. Buyer beware. |

And then the CFPU title. This same type of title, embroidered and sewn on a piece of bd material, was recently sold by a Canadian ebay dealer who claimed it was authentic. Authentically reproduced.

Rule number 1.... never buy anything from the U.K. unless you know exactly what you are buying and have 100% knowledge that it is correct...
Rule number 2.... remember rule number 1 |

my opinion
yes I agree should be anywere, and buyer should do their home work regardless of destination. sadly some of the biggest sharks I've dealt with have come from USA & Canada, and I'm not talking great whites with finns
but I've also dealt with some great collectors over the other side of the big pond, and made great friends. Its really not appropriate to stereotype the whole of the UK with a single brush stroke. |
