Mystery Arabic ‘phoenix’ badge

Good afternoon

I’ve just received this small metal badge which is believed to be of the Lebanese Police, can anyone confirm or deny this please? It has a simple brooch pin mounted N-S on the reverse and measures 29 x 33mm.

I'm sure I've seen it somewhere, possibly on this Forum, but have been unable to find any reference to it.

The Arabic is as shurta - the police.

Hi all

Although a collector on another forum (ex-UAE Police) looked into this very thoroughly at the time I'm still none the wiser regarding it (which is frustrating as I'd really like to 'formally' place it in my collection). Anyway, thought I'd give it a bump to see if anyone has had any bright ideas in the interim, or if new information has come to light.
