Thanks

The construction suggests much more recent than 1 BR Corps' days.

I remember 1 BR Corps in the 1980's and 1990's and that was when we were wearing DPM and before the proliferation of TRFs, Regimental badges, formation signs etc. RP staff brassards were made locally by the tailors shops and were stitched together rather than embroidered.

I have this one, picture taken in 2008 but may have had it longer. Does not confirm use or authenticity but it has been around for a while.
CS95 clothing introduced from 1996 did not have epaulettes (shoulder straps) so brassards were no longer worn.

This is true but No2 and No 7 dress still was: so RP brassards were still worn in the 1990s after C95 came in.

1 BR Corps ceased to exist before C95 came in.

The contender for this badge would be 7th Signal Regiment which was one of the Corps' Signal Regiments and used the white spear on diamond badge but not that one in 1994 when 1 BR Corps disbanded. It was disbanded in 2012 but I cannot confirm that 7 Sig Regt's RP staff wore that patch before that.

I have a vague recollection that the RPC, who provided the guard at Ripon Barracks,RP staff wore something similar in late 80s.

I remember quite a few variations including ones with brass lettering depending on regimental practice.

Also of interest is this HQ Allied Rapid Reaction Corps (ARRC) RP TRF which clearly mirrors the 1(BR) Corps version.
HQ 1(BR) Corps became HQ ARRC in October 1992.
