Default Royal Monmouthshire Royal Engineers Badges

Morning all.

A few badges covering the 1940's thru' the 2000's so King & Queen crowns.

We have OSD, S/G and other ranks on Kings crown.

We then have H/M, S/G, Or's (b/m and a/a).

Badges that are marked on slider are all Gaunt (apart from the H/M badge).

Ta

Jonathan.

Lovely badges, unusual the OSD has a slider as opposed to blades, thanks for sharing.

A great collection Jonathon.

I would love to see the reverses on the slider badges?

My S & G for comparison. The QC example has a full set of hallmarks for the 1990s from memory.

Jonathan,
I note that you say all your slidered badges are marked Gaunt. My two KC or examples are the same but I have the following on a/a.
Firmin x2
Smith & Wright, Dowler
Gaunt London, Gaunt B’ham

That may have been done to comemerate 450 years since formation which would have been 1989

[QUOTE=eddie;600879]Hi,
I collected some badges from the Pri shop HQ Monmouth about 3yrs ago , in the store room were hallmarked all silver officer capbadges, and were issued to the officers. I would not have believed it , not sure if it was an oversight.

Thanks,
Dave

Fantastic! Especially the OSD KC version. Here’s mine. Interestingly, the KC version with the slider appears to be quite good quality and possibly S&G (Purchased as part of Bosley’s lot a few years back).
