I did see this on a collectors page about the John Bull badges, so not 100% sure about it.

Very 2023 if repros / ‘‘unofficial’’ badges were out before the real things. I think similar happened with the new Rangers sh*te hawk badge as they first appeared sans NSN packets.

Along with the concurrent thread on the withered crown join Paras one wonders who made these hideous things.

The common design factor seen so far on actual badges is that the ‘new’ King’s Crown is unvoided.

The CIIIR Royal Engineers badge is in ‘new metal’ when previously officially made and issued in anodised aluminium.

However, it might be the case that these are examples produced in very small quantities and only for personnel who took part in Coronation events and bulk manufactured badges will be different (and better!).

Dealers should not yet have access to stocks of the new badges, so what are they selling at inflated prices?
