? Livery buttons
Hi I wonder if anyone can help with information on these buttons. I was told they might be a civilian livery button, worn by servants of a wealthy family.
Uncertain of their history except they came from a man of Scottish decent and of the pre WW2 era – who lived and died in India - the Raj. *They are Brass. *have a wild cat-like animal which I think is of the Raj - and all are 2.2cm - made by Fast Shanks. Any information about them or the company that made them would be greatly appreciated. Many Thanks |

These are so called 'sporting buttons'. They were used by civilians.
The back mark dates from around 1900. |

Thank you. Do you know anything about the company that made them?
