Unknown collar badges
Hi all, in with a group of officers silver collar badges, these two remained unidentified.l have however identified one as the South African Women's Auxillary Army Corps. The gold coloured one remains a mystery. Can anyone help?
Thanks John |

The gold coloured one on the right is from Plymouth. Probably transport related.

South African Womens Auxiliary Army Service.
It's a blackened badge, so I think that's an officers collar dog. |

Thanks Leigh. Is the collar badge the same size as the cap badge?

I believe so but I'm not 100% sure, one for the SA section forumites I'm afraid.

The same badge in gilding metal was worn on the olive drab gaberdine officers tunic. In some instances though, gilding metal badges have been seen worn by other ranks on the khaki drill tunic, but this was not the norm. |
