Help with WO1's badges
Hi folks
Just sorting through my WO1s badges, looking at these 4 I suspect that the top 2 might be Australian and the bottom 2 possibly Canadian. Any thoughts? Cheers Sean |

Sean,
Top left QC version is not a British style so may be as you suspect, Australian. Top right QC version is of a type worn by some British rifle regiments but could equally be identical to their Australian equivalents. Bottom left KC Royal Arms in wreath I have indeed seennotated as Canadian, but I have never seen evidence of that and I do have some in my collection that all came from the UK, so? Botton right KC Royal Arms in wreath looks British to me. best wishes

Thanks Simon
My reasoning for the Australian ones was if the first one is Aussie then the 2nd is identical in Shape As for the Bottom 2 it was just the colouring is similar to that dull colour of canadian trade badges. |

Sean,
You may be correct on all counts and the bottom two could be made in UK and used by both British and Canadian troops. Difficult to ever establish exactly I guess. If you ever moved the bottom two on please give me first shout. best wishes

The red with black could have been 2nd Gurkha Rifles,Gurkha Band,KRRC if its British.
Queens Own Rifles of Canada i think also wore red/black . |

Help with WO1's Badges
Hi Sean, The top left badge matches this one for Battledress 1950s-1960s
On an Australian dealers website, see link below. https://www.militaria-sales.com.au/p...-1960s-single/ best regards John |

Thanks for that John, I think I'm convinced the top two from their shape are Aussie manufacturer.
Will see if any Canadians recognise the bottom left. |

Junior RSM
Here is a Royal Artillery Junior Leaders Regiment RSM.
Is it a similar Royal Arms badge? Tim
