Hello Edwin,
I'm pretty sure it's a copy, the feet on the lugs- extended wing tips & flat feathers are signs of a copy as far as I know, but conformation will come I'm sure.

The blob on the right hand wing feathers is from a known fake die.

I'm confused, is the blob on the left hand wing as you look at it? (i.e right wing if you were wearing it) Because I can see a blob on the left wing but not on the right wing. Well established I need a trip to Specsavers but can someone point the fault out to me please?

Alli, have a look at the badges here. Clear difference to the fake one above.

Complete and utter dross, you really only need to take the briefest glance at it's obverse, without even bothering to look closer, both, the awful and obvious pointed crown, why on earth is it, that so many people buy these, brand new, for £4.99 on ebay, or similar and just assume they are original?
You can simply buy an original with very considerable ease, assuming, of course , you are willing to pay for it, expect to pay around the £35/£45 mark.

Whoops! So it is . You were saying about specsavers.....have you the opening times?
If you look at the top of the right wing just in the corner of the top feather directly next to the curve of the joint...you can clearly see the fault tucked into the corner,

Have another look around and get the attached, very common badges, but, original.

No, I can see a fault on the left wing in the spot you said. I can't see a blob on the right wing!

Also available without the "fault" on lugs and sliders!

I have always assumed that the right wing was the left wing.....ie: the right wing from the perspective of the wearer and not from an observer.....Lord, I am getting confused now...at least I can blame the advancing years and bad eyesight.
