Default Anyone want to play guess the regiment?

Not going to be able to get much detail on this one. And no it's not a quiz I don't know who they are either, I've had trouble even spotting an ST.

Just had another look using a loupe and there is actually a scroll underneath and it looks more like a star similar to the Cheshires

Good evening Alli my little dragonfly.

Two bottles of red wine leads me to believe they're soldiers.

How about Royal Engineers?

Regards

Ah hello gorgeous, even after two bottles of red your astuteness overwhelms me
I'm going to see if I can do a bit better with the image today, would be nice to pin a regiment on them. Definitely not fusiliers though

My first thought was that it was Hooton Hall in Cheshire that the photo was taken but on further search I think that is wrong.
I will put 2 bob on the East Yorks.

Default "Jack the Hat".

Alli, your man in the odd-looking hat, it looks to me like driving goggles on the hat. If the photo is pre-Great War then he might well be an Army Motor Reserve driver assigned to the C.O. or if Great War period then National Motor Reserve. Just a bit of wild speculation of course!.

The best bet will be the officers OSD collar badges if you could get a good look at those.

Could be Cheshire, E.Yorks, or a few others.

Zoomed in as much as I can and I'm pretty sure they're not Cheshire collars very hard to say for sure due to the image pixelating, have added an image but I don't think it will help. Of the two regiments I would say in close up it resembles East Yorks more than Cheshires, well it resembles a star more. A lot of squinting was involved.
