Default Ww1 or WW2 badge ?

Hi folks,
I've seen Rising Sun badges, showing the space between the Australian and Commonwealth scroll, below the crow, instead of being solid it's voided.
Which conflict would that belong to ?
Any feedback would be most appreciated.
Cheers
Wig

Wig,

Did you read the thread "Recent Find" by Mule-73k in this forum.

Is that an example of the badge that you are describing?
