Is there any evidence from the photographs that 1 Dorsets wore the Wessex Bde sign on a grass green felt backing cut to the same shape as the sign? I have an example of such a sign, but lack positive attribution.

Doesn't look like it Mike, although they do have the green backing to the o/r cap badges on the berets and also on the WO rank badges
