Default VAD or BEARER?

Can you id this patch for me please? Been sat in a drawer for some time now. Could it be a " WW1 Army medical orderly, red cross cloth arm patch" ??
JUST FOUND IT IN EDWARDS and LANGLEY, page 19-MEDICAL ORDERLY, RAMC

Yes, youve answered your own question, its a WW1 era RAMC Orderly sleeve badge. The RAF wore them for a short period too, with a blue ring.
