Default Collar or FSC?

Can anyone please confirm, which unit and whether Collar or FSC.

A nice officer's example measuring 30 x 34 mm, marked Jennens on rear upper arm of cross and bowl!

Good evening Andy,

I have the officers pattern OSD bronze die cast example of the badge you depict. Mine is exactly the same dimensions as yours, unfortunately it is not maker marked. I'm unable to positively identify the unit to which it belongs but was told by the late Hugh King that he thought it was a FSC to the 2nd Tower Hamlets. However, the two lugs, situated east - west on mine are more collar badge length being c8mm.

All good wishes,

Peter

Peter,
many thanks, it was purchased as a TH related item, I'm sure I've seen it somewhere but drawn a blank so far! Thank you for your info.

Best regards

Andy

Will be interested to see the outcome of this one as I have a similar one die struck converted into a sweetheart, I think it may be a pre 1908 badge for one of The London Volunteer units, Kevin

Hi Andy,

I'm surprised that a man of your calibre hadn't spotted that it is completely wrong, J & Co etc ??

I think the best you could do is send it to me so that I might re-use the loops.

Dave.

Dave,
as it's a fake, I've just taken a lump hammer to it! I chopped the lugs off first and will put them in the post as requested!

The closest donor would be a Wm RHA. Quite often see them in a poor state, missing lugs etc. I'm sure Dave would be able to fix it!
