Default Two unknown buttons.

I am struggling to identify these two British buttons

The first, having a crown over the number 24, I thought might be 24th Lancers, but it isn't. 24th Foot would not have the King's crown and I doubt that it is the 24th Punjab Regiment

The second, I suspect may be a Lord Lieutenant's button for an English county.

Your thoughts would be welcome.

The button showing the Liver bird within a wreath and surmounted by the KC was worn by Liverpool City Police.

Dave and Peter,

many thanks for the positive identification and the link. As it is a police button, it is outside of my collecting interest and I will be selling it on.

the button with 24 is 24th Punjabis. It is listed in Poulsom's Indian Army buttons as 1903-1922.

Excellent, thank you. I had thought that it might be the 24th Punjabis but could not find an example online.
