Default What is this ??

This is for anyone, but maybe our aussie collectors can answer this question as what is it and is it Military in the sense of being a mourning badge as it's is all black with dark purple/mauve ribbons??

Cheers

Hey Rob

Pretty awful photos mate !

Maybe its the rosette worn by servicemen whilst on leave in UK during WW1.

Regards

Phil.

My guess a bereavement piece – purple being the colour of mourning for a widow.
