Fort Garry Horse shoulder title
Just finishing up a vacation to Belgium & France and found some time to visit a couple of militaria shops this afternoon in Paris. Lots of great items, but quite pricey. One vendor did have a nice bunch of cloth titles for sale, with most of the Canadian ones being reasonably priced. I am not really a badge or title collector, but I do collect to the Manitoba regiments. I picked up a couple of nice FGH titles of a pattern not commonly seen in my neck of the woods. I have seen the two-piece titles on BD, but most of the individual titles I come across are of the post-war variety.
I suspect they may be repros but i have never seen FGH fakes in this style before. For the price I paid, I was willing to take a chance. I have attached a couple of pictures (front and back) of the nicer one. Apologies for the photo quality as the lighting in my hotel room is not great. The navy appears a bit darker than it actually is. Opinions? |

I agree, these are repro. They are copies of the wartime flash. The "FORT GARRY HORSE" is embroidered in the wrong colour.
