Default Parachute Regiment

Im after a War time ( 2nd World War ) issued Parachute Regiment cap badge please, anyone got any spares. I'd rather buy off a Forum member than a dealer.

Simon,

Thanks, I had no idea, was just trying to be helpful, obviously a reason behind it but I have no interest and don't wish to know. As stated just trying to help and hope I have not ruffled any feathers, or raised anyone's blood pressure. If I have then please accept my apologies.

Steve

Regards Steve

Ridiculously over priced. You can pick them up for half that.

Twenty quid would certainly be a bargain these days, but, it is possible to be lucky with ebay and on occasion, they can be had for even less.

Problem is Frank that genuine ones on ebay get snapped up and then reappear on dealers' own ebay listings at twice the price.

It was only a few years ago that £20 was not that uncommon but unfortunately there has been price inflation.

£50 on some dealer sites for a Para cap badge.

There’s definitely a bit of a racket with Para badges due to their desirability. One banned member and dealer who is again lurking in the background here used to openly say he always attempts to buy up all these badges to have a ‘controlling stake in the market’ or words to that effect.

Dealers list prices range fantastically with this Regiment from £25-65 for the standard KC version.

In my opinion don’t pay a penny more than £30 all in for a standard one, there really are plenty out there. On eBay you may get lucky and land one for under £25. As Alan says these have seen some unwarranted inflation recently unlike many other badges.

Just acquired one off British Army Badges £25, a little bent though. I wouldn't pay any more for one.

Twenty five quid is okay these days, you do begin to wonder about the awful prices being sought, given the large numbers of badges manufactured.

I don't remember them being hard to find, but they seem like toilet rolls a few weeks back for the past couple of years
