Default Interesting Small Arms School Corps badge.

A nice Firmin London example of the SASC cap badge, interesting as its been Chrome plated.
Cheers Tony.

I don't have the dates in front of me but this is the version after it was decided to change from a brass colour to a silver colour, all existing stocks of brass badges where to be 'dipped'.

SASC chromed is mentioned in K&K (and/or is it Gaylor?).

For your interest, collar badges (a smaller version of same badge) were dipped / chromed at the same time. All the examples that I have seen (I spent 6-years in that corps) bore a king’s crown.

Here is a QC collar dog that is dipped / chromed with a six sided lug. Shown for comparison is the QC anodised version. Also a chromed cap size button with the anodised version.
