50-52 Commando badge value?
Can anyone help give me a guide price for a genuine brass knuckleduster cap badge to 50-52 Commando. I'm trying to do a complicated exchange of badges and this is being offered as part of the deal - but I've no idea of the value. (I know there are a lot of fakes around but I'm assured it's the real deal)
Many thanks Tim |

Many thanks guys - I just found one in an old Bosleys catalogue 2008 that went for £55 - I guess they've gone up in price? Am I also right that there are several variants of the badge? Tim

Am sure I saw a genuine one recently on eBay with both loops on a £150 Buy It Now. Price range I’d say from a dealer £150-175, some would no doubt charge even more.
It’s the sort of badge which because of the level of fakery I live in hope of picking up significantly cheaper. |

There are plenty of threads on the Forum about ME Cdo knife badge and what to look for. Price £125-150 about right I would think for a GENUINE one, no cheaper. So many people chase these that getting a good one cheaper would be lucky. Yes there are variants - but the standard model will be cast and have flat lugs looped over and set into the rear casting. I will try to post images of a text book example. All the best Mike
(Do not accept a badge with lugs where the shafts look like 'nail heads' ie ringed shafts) |
