Default CMSC senior NCO appointment?

Is the senior Non-Commissioned Officer of the Corps of Military Staff Clerks a Conductor, or a Staff Sergeant Major? He wears the same rank badge, the Royal Coat of Arms over a laurel spray, as the appointment of Conductor RCOC.

It might be worth checking Militia Lists and General Orders. The General Orders may show recipients of the LSGCM from the CMSC with the rank that you are looking for..

Hi Phil, The comments on a FB post indicate that only the RCOC had the rank of Conductor. So, the CMSC had the appointment of Corps Staff Sgt Major.
