Still trying to gain all the information I can on this regiment ,before purchasing items I am aware that the regiment wears the Maple leaf of the old N I H as an arm badge Hodges states a silver Maple leaf worn on the right arm in number 1 and 2 dress
Special embellishments of the the British army states-a pair of miniature silver maple leaves worn just below the shoulder point on both arms
Marc J Sherriff vol 2 Maple leaf in silver on left sleeve of the service dress and no 2 jacket
Also cloth trf worn red maple on green worn with signals t rf
I have been through North Irish Horse excellent album and previous post on the North Irish Horse If I am correct there are 2 types of small silver leaves -
Sew on and pinned back
Also a a/a sew on
There ia silver maple leaf for sale on a dealers site 10 mm looks like the pinned type Is this what I require
David

If the are still wearing them it will be the sow on type. The older type with the blades I think are from the Canadian Volunteer medal. Probably worn by the NIH in the early days.

Away from home now, so no access to my reference material. But look the right size, perhaps someone can confirm.

Thanks for the link Scots the/B. It proved useful for me trying to get an RDG shoulder title which I wasn't able to find.
