Default St John's Ambulance cap badge

Hi guys

Does anyone know if, during WW1, the St John's Ambulance Brigade cap badge would have been lugged or, perhaps, pinned?

I found this on another forum:

"The St John Ambulance Brigade/Association did provide two units (at least) for the RAMC. At Etaples there was a Stationary Hospital from 1915 and in November 1914 the SJA provided a complete Field Ambulance (130th) for the 38th (Welsh) Division. For the first few months of its existance its members wore their own SJA uniforms. When they were issued with army uniform they were allowed to keep their St John insignia on their sleeve."

that, to me, implies it might have been lugged or pinned

Thanks

Colin

I have no idea regarding your question, but, in all instances it is St. John Ambulance. No 's.

As far as I have ever seen, all the badges are bladed, EW, osd style.

Colin,
A Link to a previous tread about another St John badge, as it was an arm badge with lugs then there is no reason why the badge you are asking about would not have been made with lugs.
