Formation badge on painted helmet
Greetings,
Forgive me if the answer is obvious to all but me: I ran into this painted helmet with what appears to be an applied decal. I have not been able to identify the insignia, however. Can anyone identify what unit is represented? Thank you, John |

Marc is right, it is Irish Defence Forces and I think Western Command but I may be wrong with the formation because the key on the illustration I am looking at is confusing.

Current is 4th Western Brigade.

It's a post-1956 Western Brigade, later call Western Command, badge on the helmet from the Irish Defense Forces. Worn into the late 1960's early 1970's. The Western Command no longer exists!
